The Pinehurst Croquet Club Welcomes You!
The Pinehurst Croquet Club, the home of champions and the venue of national and international tournaments, plays on the greenswards of the Pinehurst Country Club. Three manicured courts beckon the croquet player, however, there is a large, contiguous greensward that can be set up for two Championship courts or three 80% courts, so that tournament play can accommodate up to five courts.
The playing schedule of the Pinehurst Croquet Club includes American rules, Association laws, and golf croquet.
The open play schedule includes:
- Monday, American rules, doubles, partners chosen by card draw.
- Tuesday, golf croquet, partners chosen by members present.
- Wednesday, American rules doubles, partners paired with like handicap.
- Thursday, Association laws, doubles, partners arranged by the members present.
- Friday, American rules, doubles; low handicap paired with high-handicap players.
NC and Pinehurst Croquet Events: 2012
Starting times of the above games vary according to season and obviously gives way to scheduled tournaments. From March through October, games start at 9 AM. From November through February, games start at 1 PM. The tournament schedule at Pinehurst includes local state regional and national events. The Club meets the first Tuesday of each month in the second level boardroom of the Pinehurst Country Club's Members' club. All members of the Pinehurst Country Club are eligible for membership in the Pinehurst Croquet Club.
